    Multi-talented trauma orthopedic surgeon

Dr. Gross did ORIF surgery on my horrific pilon ankle fracture 6 months ago. It's a very complicated surgery and I have a lot of permanent hardware in my leg after my skiing accident, but I do have full use of my leg at this point for short distances and can handle stairways, both up and down. It's a long healing and strengthening process (1-2 years) but it's good to have such talent helping me recover. In addition to competently doing the difficult surgery, Dr. Gross has a better-than-most-surgeons bedside manner in the many post-surgery months which is also reassuring and helpful in the healing process. Devoted PT is of course also a critical recovery aid.
